Welcome to the fam, Kylie!!!

Well, I’ve neglected our blog for too long and am out of excuses.

It’s time for me to post about our beautiful baby girl.  She was born June 20th weighing 8 lbs 2 oz, 20 inches long and absolutely perfect!

I’ll tell a quick version of the story…

My headaches got really bad the last couple months of the pregnancy and it was getting REALLY hard to function.  My doctor induced me on my due date.  We showed up at 6 am. Pitocin at 7:00 (1 cm).  Walked for a couple hours. 1 1/2 cm doc broke my water.  Contractions really picked up.  Got epidural around 11:00 (4 cm).  Contractions slowed down.  Kept increasing my pitocin until contractions were regular again.  I went from a 4 to ready to push so fast I could barely believe it.  Three pushes and she was out.

For those of you who don’t know, Debbie (my step mom) is an anesthesiologist at the hospital where I delivered.  She wasn’t on call the day I was in, but she went out of her way to take care of me from a distance.  Everyone kept telling me how much they love Dr. Barnes :)  I got several comments from the nurses that they had never seen so many anesthesiologists check on one patient. Ha ha!  I guess I got a little VIP treatment. If I was to get special treatment from anyone in the hospital while having a baby, I would choose the people giving me drugs hands down!  Thanks Debbie!

When she finally arrived, I decided that the name I had chosen was all wrong so she went by Baby Coombs till the next day.  I don’t know why we had such a difficult time naming her. In any case we finally went back to one of our top 5.  Kylie Anne Coombs.  Anne with an “E”. ha ha

Mom flew up to help me out the week I had Ky.  She sparkled my house, put TONS of food in my fridge and freezer, spoiled my boys.  In fact, I don’t think my boys had a chance to miss me at all!  I don’t know what in the world I would have done without her!  It’s sad to be so far away from my mom but I’m glad she got to be here when Ky was born at least!

I can’t believe how much they change and how fast!  She is now two weeks old and changing every day.  We are so blessed to have her as part of our family and hope that she will feel the same!

What’s new with us?

Let’s see.  I think that the last time I posted was in…September.  Whoops.

Cameron is now 3 1/2, Sawyer is 17 months and we are COUNTING DOWN the weeks until nursery.  YAY!  Actually, that was a lie.  Ben is counting down until Sawyer goes to nursery.  He’s the one who takes him while I am crazy busy in Primary.

I suppose that I should announce that we are expecting a little girl in June.  SOOOO excited.  I cannot go into a store without drooling over everything pink and fluffy.  Judge me.

Ben was accepted to University of Oregon so we are looking at a move to Eugene (an hour south of where we live now.)  He starts in a month or so but it will be summer before we move, depending on finding housing.

Eugene is where Dad and Debbie live and it will be so nice to be close to family again.

Sawyer is obsessed with sitting in buckets.  Also obsessed with making messes.  He found his own little heaven by dumping out the diapers and sitting in the small box I keep them in downstairs.

Both boys have birthdays this month.  Cam turned 3 on the 4th and Sawyer’s first birthday is coming up on the 28th.  I could write a lot but I don’t feel like it so here are a million pictures.

Poor Sawyer has eczema and it gets SOOO bad on his face.  He is miserable and this is him scratching.  He either scratches or rubs his face on the carpet.

HAPPY EASTER!
